Before Puppy Arrives
By understanding how to settle your puppy in smoothly, you can save yourself a lot of work later on, and potentially save your puppy from suffering from distress when they first leave their mum and littermates. Clients that have this session have less problems with their puppy over the first few months, and beyond.
I help you:

understand what to do and what not to do on the first days with puppy

choose what to buy and how to save money not buying some common puppy products
-
set the puppy up for being able to settle at night and in the home
-
make sure that the first week is as organised and easy for you as possible
-
get off to the right start with other pets in the home
£120 per hour
Puppy One to One Sessions
These are bespoke sessions that set you up for the best start with your puppy and address the problems that you are having in your environment. I do not run through a list of cues and tricks like ‘sit’ and ‘down’, I look at what you and your puppy most need to learn to get your life together going well. Issues addressed include:

nipping & biting

settling down/sleeping at night
-
toilet and crate training
-
helping puppy learn to be left alone and avoid separation problems
-
what socialisation is and how best to do it
-
getting puppy used to their lead and walking nicely on lead
-
good control of your dog off lead
You will be sent resources after the session, such as videos of training exercises, and bespoke details of things to buy. The first session is normally longer than an hour as there is so much to do.
£120 per hour including resources and support outside of the session
Puppy Classes
East Sheen SW14
I use effective, fun methods that are rewarding for your puppy, so that they will enjoy training with you. I have small groups of 5 maximum, in a venue with indoor and outdoor space.
The following will be included:

reliable response to their name

giving you focus when needed, and around distractions

phasing out jumping up

handling your puppy for grooming, vet visits

coming when called / recall
-
loose lead walking
-
Safety cues: Stay,Leave it, Drop, Wait, Emergency 'STOP'

settling down in pubs / cafes
-
the local area: good places to train, socialise and walk your puppy
-
the best equipment – leads, long lines and harnesses
-
appropriate exercise
-
preparing for adolescence
-
some more cues / tricks and discussions about puppy topics dependent on time
