Adult & Adolescents

  • Sometimes we just need to work on similar things with young dogs as we would with a puppy, as they didn’t learn some key skills during puppyhood, and now the problems are a bit more engrained. For example, having better control outdoors, loose lead walking, or learning to start being left alone.

  • Adolescence is a big deal for dogs, and often underestimated and poorly understood. Guardians who have laid good foundations with their puppy can get surprise unwanted behaviours in the ‘teenage’ phase. I’ll help you understand what’s happening and how to get back on track

  • There can be more complex unwanted behaviours with adult dogs. I need to investigate why your dog is behaving the way that they are, with your help.   Research shows that up to 80% of dogs showing serious unwanted behaviours, have a physical problem, like pain that could be exacerbating the behaviour. So, I sometimes need to work with your vet as well.  I look at their whole lifestyle and work out what we need to change, and what training we need to do.
